Goodness - Stop And Smell the Roses

Some day's I just need life to slow down and that takes an effort on my part.  I get so caught up in the day to day busy-ness of things that I forget to stop, take a deep breath and move forward with intention. If you do it right this minute, trust me you will feel better!  Did you do it?  Well, try it..... breathe deep....three times....now focus (with intention) on what your day may (or may not) involve.  See, I told you that the pieces would fall together and you will have a much different outlook on your day!

The weather is finally turning it's head from gray days to sunny and warm. That helps my lovely garden to grow and it also gets me outside working in the yard.  My home is also beginning to feel more organized, although that is a never ending project!  Over the weekend, all of my boys came home and helped clean out a space under the stairway and built me a storage system for my paintings - Happy Birthday MOM! Thanks guys!!!  So today I will begin to go through my stash of paintings and decide what to keep, what need to go into upcoming shows and what gets tossed.

Before & After

I have a new toy AND I have internet again! You know how it feels to go somewhere without your purse, wallet or cell phone? You feel kind of "naked". Something is wrong but you can't quite put your finger on it. Well that's how it has been around here for the last few weeks without the internet. Something just felt wrong. I couldn't even wash the dishes or do the laundry because I felt "off". No internet. Pull weeds, cook dinner - not tonight dear, we don't have internet.

Well after many calls to the cable company and many hours spent looking at all of my hodge-podge systems by a very patient neighbor-friend-computer guru, he got it up and running today! At lightening speeds too! Well not quite, but it does seem fast after not having any computer for almost two weeks. It just amazes me how attached you can get to technology.....not sure that's a good thing.

My new toy is learning how to create a color palette from my photo's with Photoshop. Which is way fun! You just make these little boxes and using your eyedropper tool, you sample a color in your photo and drop it in the box. It amazes me how intense the colors can be. Check it out....

I still have to work at get my margins even and maybe change them to white but for now, I am pretty excited about being creative with yummy colors!

It is supposed to be the beginning of summer but it has been raining....so I have been puttering.....and pouting.....because I really want to be outside, in the sunshine!

So lately I have indulged in a little love affair..... (hope Mr. B isn't reading this...)

My new found love is Pinterest.  It is a virtual pin board where you have a place to collect all of the things you love and to find a lot of new things you didn't even know you loved!

It is inspirational and beautiful.  It's also free!

I have discovered things about myself.  I love soft colors, romance, vintage feel, small plates of yummy food, Old Hollywood, far off places with clear turquoise water, antique doors, braided hair, tended gardens, white slipcovers and comfortable furnishings (well....I really already knew that), antiques, French country,  photo's of people with old souls, Pink Vespas and Cosmo shooters! Oh my goodness!!!
