Time Flies

Song -  Beautiful Boy by John Lennon

Grandma & Tyler

Yesterday was my baby's 27th birthday.....just HOW did that happen?

He was so sweet, funny and amazing....and still is!

Getting off the bus from grade school with flowers for me.

Our third son with two big brothers to love and teach him (yes that would be good and bad!)

Always loved baseball....Giants of course!

Like I said....how did THAT happen?

Good time to be "caught" in the years to come!

Thank you Tyler.

Goodness - Stop And Smell the Roses

Some day's I just need life to slow down and that takes an effort on my part.  I get so caught up in the day to day busy-ness of things that I forget to stop, take a deep breath and move forward with intention. If you do it right this minute, trust me you will feel better!  Did you do it?  Well, try it..... breathe deep....three times....now focus (with intention) on what your day may (or may not) involve.  See, I told you that the pieces would fall together and you will have a much different outlook on your day!

The weather is finally turning it's head from gray days to sunny and warm. That helps my lovely garden to grow and it also gets me outside working in the yard.  My home is also beginning to feel more organized, although that is a never ending project!  Over the weekend, all of my boys came home and helped clean out a space under the stairway and built me a storage system for my paintings - Happy Birthday MOM! Thanks guys!!!  So today I will begin to go through my stash of paintings and decide what to keep, what need to go into upcoming shows and what gets tossed.

Life is good.  Be happy - J

My Boys

A friend recently sent me some old photos from our family vacations. I came across this one of me and my middle son, Jon. He was the kind of kid that should of been in the movies or at least commercials. Cute as a button, if I do say so myself! He had a "big" personality and thought outside the box. He was always thinking deep thoughts like "Exactly when did that cow lick me?" and after a few minutes of scratching my head, he explained that the girl who had just given him a haircut told him that he had a cowlick. He was about four at the time.
On another occasion when he was deep in thought, he asked "Just when did the world turn into color?" Mmmm....where did that one come from? When I asked him what he was talking about, he responded with "You know how it used to be black & white and now the world is full of color!". After discussing this with his father, Mr. B, we realized that he had seen old photo's and old TV shows (like I Love Lucy) which were in black & white. Makes perfect sense to me now that a smarty pants kid like this would think that the whole world was void of color and suddenly one day turned into full spectrum color just like in "The Wizard of Oz"!

Love you Jon-e-b......hope you're enjoying the challenges of college!
