Pre-Boo

Song - Werewolves Of London by Warren Zevon

Every Halloween Mr. B and I enjoy coming up with a design and carving our pumpkins.  For the last few years we have made it into a small party with family.  So on Sunday night........

The table was set with parsnip & carrot noses, carving tools and designing tools as well as gut buckets.  Andy even got out the power drill (behind the "noses").

As we began to work our magic everyone got quieter and quieter.......until.......

...Buddy showed up in his Lion costume and we all cracked up as he was so proud of his new look!

Ashley finished her pumpkin fast so she could have some cuddling time with Buddy-the-Lion.

After that Jack-O-Lanterns started popping out all over the place!

And the winner of this years event was Walter's sideways scary pumpkin!

Yikes!!!

Then we all settled down for some delicious Tortilla Soup & Corn Bread.......

.......with our Jack-O-Lanterns lighting the night.

As guests were leaving, we found Monica had sprouted fangs and Tyler forgot to go to the dentist....yuck!!!

As the night was winding down, Chewy fell promptly to sleep.
All of this monster stuff was too much for the little guy!!!

And Mr. B and I joined him shortly.

may luck be yours on Halloween"

Spooky Transformations

Song - Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr.

It all began with a simple wreath on the front door.....

And ended with my youngest son's head in a jar......yikes!

Let me tell you what transpired.

There were barfing pumpkins and then......

.....big 'ol pumpkins began to arrive......strangely in pairs!

The table was set with tools, pumpkins, gut containers and carrot-parsnip noses.

So.......we all got to work decapitating, pulling out innards and furrowing our brows trying to think of the very best design........all while sipping some mighty fine wine!

Suddenly it got very quiet........and that's when it happened.......

Everyone entered into..............."the twilight zone"!

We were creating, working and thinking so hard that smoke almost came out of our ears!

As pumpkins became Jack-o-Lanterns......we all began to relax.

Candles were lit and soup was poured.....

we dined until our bellies were filled....perhaps we relaxed a little too much....

Because a sweet Grandma was abducted by a man with a mustache.....

And a cuddly dog was taken by a wild couple in plaid.....

It made all of our hair stand right up on end!!!

As Witches took to riding in the night sky.....

And Goblins came out and frightened us all......

The skull of a dead man arrived just in time....

...to see the Grinch stealing Halloween and.....

Bats flying by.

We had oogly eyes just watching it all....

and laughed at the lovely little white holes and fly fishing ties....

But the worst of the worstest and badder than bad came a.....

....surprise knife to the skull!!!

Boo....
Bwahahahaha....

Happy Halloween one and all!

And black cats are seen,
The moon laughs and whispers
'Tis near Halloween."

The Rat Pack

Song - I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone

Last years jack-o-lanterns.....

...and this years roses.

Andy circa 1991

Halloween is this guys favorite holiday.....not the guy in the photo above
but the photo of Mr. B below....

Can't you just see the love and determination on this guys face to carve the best pumpkin to date?

Last year Tyler did a "Mr. B" jack-o-lantern....pretty good imitation!

Here is Tyler a few years ago, balancing a pumpkin on his head for some unknown reason.....

And this year we have a new member of the Baird Halloween Rat Pack - Ashley!!!

Go TEAM Girls!

Boys - 4 Girls - 2

We're gaining...

Of course when the boys are as cute as this, who cares?

I forgot to tell Ashley that her new husband is a Joker....oops!

Happy Halloween!
