Song - Hapuna Sunset from "The Descendants" by Charles Michael Brotman
An amazing thing happened on Tuesday afternoon.
My brother, Tim and I went to my parents home to discuss their....wishes...will...trust...feelings....if anything happened to them. Tough job but we all need to do it......
They happened to be watching "The Descendants" movie when we arrived. Which is pretty pertinent to what was happening.
(I really hope you clicked on the above "song" while looking at these beautiful spring flowers)
They magically popped up in our garden while we were in Arizona. Lovely.....
Well.....after we discussed several ideas and going through stacks of legal paperwork, my dad brought out his "list". Now my dad loves making lists and his handwriting is beautiful....kind of old school calligraphy.
On one sheet of paper he had written.....
1. If anything happens to your mom or me.......
2. The paper work is located here.........
3. The keys are here.......
4. These are the bills to be paid........
5. These are the names of people on the accounts........
6. These are our wishes........
Now, why can't all of life be so beautifully simple?
Thanks Mom & Dad......
“Out beyond ideas of
wrongdoing and rightdoing
there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down
in that grass,
the world is too full
to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase
'each other' doesn’t make any
sense.”
